| An alien form invades the female crew members of a deep-space research
vessel en route back to earth. The ailen presence, whose life force is
sustained from the energy released through physical interaction, has the
ability to transform itself into a perfect clone of its host! Upon reaching earth, special agents of the FBI's "Alien Files" are called in to investigate the strange behavior of the returned crew. The alien presence, shifting from body to body, escapes the compound in search of its mate, who was stranded on earth years earlier. |
| "Our staff unreservedly recommends Alien Files ... It has lighthearted warmth and a sense of fun, combined with appealing characters... The actors take every advantage of the unusually well-written script [and] well-crafted characters. Now that's entertainment!" |

| "One of the best in this genre. The plot is actually quite good and the science is not total nonsense. The production values are fairly high and some nice locales are used. Kira Reed as a cop chasing after an alien... It's a kick to see talented women in mainstream films occasionally..." |

| "This film earns five stars out of five for being
a great all-around postmodern sci-fi retro parody. Overall, really campy
and corny..." "Plenty of wit, with visual and verbal jokes. Someone took care to get the look and timing of things right." "Kira Reed is great as the uptight Agent Forrest. She steals the show." |

| "Sure it's a shake-and-bake
late-night cable flick. So sue me for liking it. The Alien Files pokes
fun at its low-budget self while parodying The
X-Files, Alien, and just about any science
fiction movie the writer/director had on his mind... Kanefsky doesn't
let this flick take itself seriously, ever. At times it's a witty, clever
script loaded with campy dialogue that works. Kira Reed is the real star
as the Scully character. She's a talented enough actress to pull off the
campy feel essential to the role without going completely over the top." "This is a funny movie. It does a pretty good job of riding the campy line and not being too stupid." |
